Prior to her appointment, Ms Kabisa was serving as an Assistant Director, Administration and Public Service in the President’s Office -Public Service Management and Good Governance.
According to a statement issued by the Directorate of Presidential Communications yesterday, Ms Kabisa has succeeded Mr Sauli Kinemela who has retired from public service as required by then law.
Besides, the president has also appointed Prof Siza Tumbo as the Director General of the Centre for Agriculture Mechanisation and Rural Technology (CAMARTEC). Before his appointment, Prof Tumbo was a senior lecturer at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA).
Prof Tumbo holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from SUA (1991), Master of Science in Light Current Engineering from University of Dar es Salaam (1996) and a PhD in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University (2000).
His area of speciality is bio-system information, computing and automation. He has done several researches on precision farming, adoption of water system innovations and smallholder water system innovations. He was also the director of Computer Centre at SUA from July 2006 to June 2009.
