Corazon Kwamboka the learned socialite has been cutting quite a different niche from her world touring counterparts.

As the others are busy globetrotting, she has been more or less grounded in the capital busy with her fashion store. Occasionally she has engaged in the rare venture like penning an article in a leading daily commenting on a legal subject. Now she seems to have been bit by the motivation bug. She is currently doing rounds motivating young girls in secondary.

She started in Highway High School and will now be heading to her alumnus according to her posts. You may wonder who dares invite her but if there is anything we have learnt with the current high school youths is they have their own role models.

Serena Williams overtakes Maria Sharapova as highest-paid female athlete making $28.9m in 2016

Forbes, on Monday, announced that Serena Williams has overtaken Maria Sharapova as the world’s highest-paid female athlete in the last one year, bringing in $28.9 million in prize money and endorsements over the year. The world No. 1 won three Grand Slams in 2015, reached the final of the year’s first two Slam events and added a major endorsement deal with Chase.

Sharapova who has been the highest paid female athlete in the last 11 years despite not being as successful on the pitch as Serena, lost lucrative endorsement deals with Nike, American Express, Porsche and TAG Heuer due to her recent doping scandal. She pulled in $21.9 million, down nearly $8 million from last year.

In the list of top ten highest earning female athletes, Tennis players make up eight.

4. Danica Patrick - $13.9 million

Her Nigerian trip did not start well as KQ messed up with her luggage

“I hate Kenya Airways sometimes.” Vera Sidika states in a rant directed at KQ.

Vera revealed on Snapchat that KQ had lost her bag full of clothes en route to Nigeria and was left with only her shoes and a makeup box.”I’m I supposed to wear my heels and make up and walk naked?”She asked the airline.

I wish Emirates would fly within the continent, one several occasions KQ has disappointed me coz I’m patriotic.” She wrote before disclosing that this was 3rd Time KQ has lost her luggage.

She then went on to complain about the AC not working on the plane before revealing today that KQ had still not found her luggage.

But despite the loss of luggage, Vera seemed cheery as she hanged out and dined at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lagos.
